COVID-19 is killing our Gaumata. Come, let’s feed her together!

Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.

    Project

Update(as on 23rd May 2020): In the last two months, we were able to partner with NGOs across India and feed over 5000+ stray cows. The present crisis is an ongoing battle and this initiative will go towards feeding stray cows even after the lockdown.

For many people, the cow is just an animal they use for milk and for their selfish desires. They torture cows by preventing their calves to drink milk. In the Western world, typically as soon as a dairy cow's prodigious milk output drops off, she is sent packing – to the meatpacker.

During her four or five years as a commercial milk production unit, all her newborn male calves had been forcefully taken away from her within days or hours of birth to become veal or breeding stock. But, is this right? To us Indians, the cow is not just an animal.

It’s our Gaumata. It’s a sacred animal, the only animal that can feel our happiness and pain. The only gentle creature that can show kindness and empathy.

We see stray cows stranded on the streets, lost on roads, and left to starve to death. The lockdown has put everyone in their homes. Nobody is going out and are unable to feed these stray cows. These innocent stray cows are starving.

Earlier, they relied on market vendors to feed them vegetables and fruits. They rely on shop owners to give food and to take care of them. Today, because of the Corona outbreak and lockdown, there’s hardly anyone out on the streets to help these creatures.

It's a cruel and tragic life story. We need to save our these stray cows amidst this horrible pandemic.

Our Gaumata is starving. We urge you to come forward to save our stray cows from starvation. They need your help to survive this horrible phase.

Our NGO partners have dedicated volunteers and staff who will responsibly conduct the feeding drives. They will go out at wee times, ensuring they are wearing protective gear like masks and feed our precious Gaumata.

Donate now, save our sacred Gaumata.
